Christine Pellé Paintings

By working with natural materials such as wood, washi-papers, animal glue or persimmon extract, the whole approach of my making process is based on the recurrence of cycles.

My paintings express the rhythms induced by these cycles in flexible compositions of units.

With its own flavor, each unit can act as a whole and, with the serial process of my creating, can interact with other parts like in my Polyptyques or Movere Rotare installations.

My art works grow out of my perception of the ever-changing state of things, the constant evolution of their relations and ways to communicate, intertwined with the strong emotions of my unique making and creating process.
